📊 Verification levels explained

Updated this week

To keep things safe and compliant, we may run different levels of verification on your account.

Most of the time, this happens in the background — but if we need anything from you, we’ll let you know.

Level 1 — Basic Verification

We confirm that you:

  • Are 18 or over

  • Are located in the UK

This usually happens during sign-up.

If we can’t verify you automatically, we’ll ask for:

  • Proof of ID (Passport, Driving Licence, or National ID)

  • Proof of Address (Bank statement, utility bill, or government letter)

✅ Once approved, you’re good to go.

Level 2 — Standard Verification

After Level 1, you can use your account as normal — deposits, withdrawals, the lot.

At certain points, we may need to run a few additional checks.

This might include:

  • Proof of ID

  • Proof of Address

If anything’s needed, we’ll explain exactly what to do.

Level 3 — Advanced Checks

In some cases, our Risk team may carry out further checks to keep everything secure.

This could include:

  • Requesting additional documents

  • Reviewing account or payment activity

We’ll always tell you what we need — and why.

A Quick Heads Up

  • Verification checks can happen at any stage

  • Your account may be temporarily restricted while checks are completed

  • All checks follow UK regulations

  • Your data is handled securely at all times
