Midnite is excited to cooperate with the University of Gibraltar’s Center of Excellence in Response Gaming (CERG) academic research into understanding players who engage in esports or sports betting.
The CERG Research Team would like to invite you to participate in an anonymous online study that aims to understand the unique behaviour of players who engage in esports betting compared to their sports betting counterparts. While doing so, the research team will also be exploring the relationship between sports spectatorship and sports betting, as well as esports spectatorship and esports betting, among other factors.
If you agree to participate (and meet the eligibility criteria), you will be entered into a free prize draw, with 2 Amazon gift cards worth £150 and 12 Amazon gift cards worth £40 up for grabs.

1. Eligibility
This giveaway is open only to individuals who are at least 18 years old and are residents of the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, Gibraltar, Hungary, or India. Participants must have engaged in esports or online sports betting within the last 12 months. Employees of the University of Gibraltar, Midnite and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate in this giveaway.
2. Closing Date
The giveaway closes on 31 May 2024. Entries submitted after this date will not be eligible.
3. How to Enter
To participate in the giveaway, complete the survey on esports and sports betting behaviour. At the end of the survey, you will be given the option to provide your email address to enter the draw for the gift cards. Entry into the giveaway is voluntary and requires the completion of the survey and the submission of a valid email address. Limit one (1) entry per person.
4. Prize Details
The prizes consist of twelve (12) gift cards worth £40 each and two (2) gift cards worth £150 each, or the equivalent value in the respective currencies of the participating countries. Prizes are non-transferable and no cash alternative is available.
5. Winner Selection and Notification
Winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries received during the Promotion Period. The draw will be conducted by the University of Gibraltar. Winners will be notified via the email address provided within seven (7) days of the draw. If a winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within fourteen (14) days of notification, the University reserves the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
6. Data Protection
By entering the giveaway, participants consent to the collection, storage, and use of their email addresses for the purpose of conducting this giveaway, including the notification of winners, the distribution of prizes, and the publication of information that indicates that a valid award took place.
7. General Conditions
The University of Gibraltar is responsible for the conduct and administration of the giveaway. By entering the giveaway, participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and by the decisions of the University of Gibraltar, which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to this giveaway.
8. Liability and Disputes
The University of Gibraltar and Midnite are not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the giveaway. In the event of any dispute regarding the conduct of this giveaway, the decision of the University of Gibraltar shall be binding.
9. Changes and Termination
The University of Gibraltar reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the giveaway should any virus, bug, non-authorized human intervention, fraud, or other cause beyond the University's control affect the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the giveaway.
