Bet

Placing money on the successful prediction of the outcome of an event.

Odds

Numerical expressions representing the likelihood of a particular outcome occurring in a sporting event or other betting scenario. Bookmakers use odds to calculate potential payouts, helping bettors make informed decisions.

Place Bet

A bet on a selection to finish in a particular place, or within a range of places, in an event.

Single Bet

A straightforward wager placed on a single selection or outcome. For instance, in sports betting, placing a single bet means wagering on the outcome of just one match or event.

Accumulator / Acca

A type of bet that allows the bettor to combine multiple selections (legs) into a single bet. All legs must win for the bet to succeed, and the potential payout is higher due to the combined odds.

Bet Builder

A feature that allows bettors to create customized bets by combining multiple selections within a single event.

Canceled Leg

If one of the legs of your multiple bet is canceled, voided, or pushed (e.g., due to a draw), it will be removed from your bet, and the potential payout will be recalculated using the remaining legs. The payout is calculated as usual: the odds of the remaining legs are multiplied together.

Bettor

An individual who engages in betting activities, typically by placing wagers or bets.

Voucher

A form of credit that can be used to place bets with a bookmaker. Vouchers are often issued as promotional or reward tools.

Pre-Match Bet

A wager placed on the outcome of an event before it begins.

Live Match Bet

A wager placed on the outcome of a sports event while it is in progress, allowing bets in real-time.

Cashout

A feature that allows bettors to settle their bets before the event concludes, either to secure a profit or minimize potential losses.

Settlement

The process of determining the outcome of wagers and distributing winnings, occurring after the event concludes.

Void Bet

A wager canceled by the bookmaker due to specific circumstances affecting the outcome or integrity of the event. Stakes are returned to the bettor.

Bookmaker / Bookie

A person or company licensed to offer odds and accept bets from bettors.

Outright Bet

A wager placed on the outcome of an entire competition or event, rather than individual matches. Involves predicting the overall winner or result before or during the early stages.

Asian Handicap

A type of bet where one selection is given a β€œhandicap” to overcome. Popular for strong favorites, as it allows betting at longer odds with a goal or point start (e.g., +1/-1.5).

European Handicap

Similar to the Asian handicap but includes the possibility of a draw, offering a wider range of betting options.

Esports

Short for electronic sports; organized competitive video gaming where players or teams compete in various games.

Stake

The amount of money a bettor risks on a particular wager.

Overtime

An additional period added at the end of a match to break a tie when the score is level after regular time.
