⚽ In-Play Football Betting

Learn how In-Play football betting works at Midnite, including live markets, changing odds, Cash Out, suspended markets and VAR.

In-Play betting lets you place bets while a match is being played. A goal changes everything. So does a red card, a penalty or that 89th-minute equaliser nobody saw coming. As the game changes, so do the markets.

Available In-Play markets

Depending on the match, you'll find markets including:

  • Match Result (1X2)

  • Next Goalscorer

  • Next Team to Score

  • Total Goals (Over/Under)

  • Both Teams to Score

  • Correct Score

  • Cards and Corners

Tap into any live match to see what's available.

Why do odds change during a match?

Because football's unpredictable.

One goal, one red card or one moment of madness can change the whole match. So the odds change too, updating throughout the game to reflect what's happening on the pitch.

Why are markets suspended during play?

Seen a market disappear for a few seconds? That's normal.

Markets may be temporarily suspended around key moments in the match while the action is confirmed. If betting becomes available again, you'll see the market reopen with the latest odds.

Keep in mind that In-Play information and live streams can also be subject to a delay.

How does VAR affect In-Play bets?

Ah yes... everyone's favourite.

VAR can change an on-field decision, so affected markets may be suspended while a review takes place.

How your bet is settled depends on the market you've backed and the final confirmed events of the match. You can find more detail in our Football Betting Rules.

Cash Out

Cash Out lets you settle an eligible bet before the event has finished.

You won't always see the Cash Out option. Cash Out isn't guaranteed and Midnite may make the feature unavailable at any time, so it shouldn't be relied upon when placing a bet.

When Cash Out is available, the value offered can change as the action unfolds.
