Sometimes, football matches don’t go as planned. Whether due to weather, technical issues, or unforeseen events, matches can be postponed, suspended, or abandoned entirely. Here’s how Midnite handles those situations when it comes to your bets.

⏳ Postponed Matches

A match is considered postponed when it’s scheduled to a later time or date before kick-off.

  • Bets remain valid as long as the match is played within 48 hours of the originally scheduled start time.

  • If the match is not played within 48 hours, bets are voided and stakes are refunded.

Example: A Premier League match scheduled for Saturday at 3 PM is moved to Sunday 2 PM due to weather. Your bet will still stand.

❌ Abandoned Matches

A match is considered abandoned if it starts but is not completed.

  • Markets that have already reached a result at the time of abandonment (e.g., First Half Result, First Goalscorer) will be settled as normal.

  • All other markets that haven’t been concluded by the time of abandonment will be voided.

  • This applies across markets such as Over/Under, Match Result, Both Teams to Score, and more.

Example: If a match is abandoned in the 60th minute at 1–1, a bet on “Over 2.5 Goals” will be voided, since the outcome was not yet determined.

Exception – Friendly Matches:
For friendly matches, all markets are settled based on the official result, even if less than 90 minutes are played — unless the match is abandoned, in which case the general abandonment rules apply.

⚠️ Important Notes
