🚫️ Postponed & Abandoned Matches

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Sometimes matches don’t go as planned. Weather, technical issues, or other events can cause games to be postponed, suspended, or abandoned. Here’s how Midnite handles your bets:

⏳ Postponed Matches

  • A match is postponed if it’s rescheduled before kick-off.

  • Bets remain valid if the game is played within 48 hours of the original start time.

  • If not played within 48 hours, all bets are void and stakes refunded.

Example: A Saturday 3 PM match is moved to Sunday 2 PM → bet still stands.

❌ Abandoned Matches

  • A match is abandoned if it starts but isn’t completed.

  • Settled markets (e.g. First Half Result, First Goalscorer) stand.

  • Unsettled markets (e.g. Over/Under, Match Result, Both Teams to Score) are void.

Example: If a match is abandoned at 1–1 in the 60th minute, “Over 2.5 Goals” bets are void since the outcome wasn’t decided.

Friendly Matches Exception

  • Bets are settled based on the official result, even if less than 90 minutes are played.

  • If a friendly is abandoned, normal abandonment rules apply.
