⚽ What to Know for the Start of the 2026 Season

The new football season is here — here’s a quick guide to how betting works as things get underway.


🕒 Match Rules

  • Matches are settled over 90 minutes (2 × 45 mins + stoppage time)

  • Extra time and penalties don’t count unless stated (e.g. To Qualify markets)


📅 Fixtures

  • Premier League starts: 22 August 2026

  • Coverage includes:

    • Premier League

    • Championship

    • Champions League

    • Europa League

    • International matches

Fixture changes:
Bets stand unless a match is postponed for more than 48 hours.


⚽ Main Market Types

Full-Time Result (1X2)
Settled on 90 minutes only

Goals Markets

  • Over/Under, team goals, first/last scorer

  • Own goals count for totals, not for scorer bets

Scorer Markets

  • Player must take part

  • Own goals don’t count

Cards

  • Settled over 90 minutes

  • Yellow = 10 pts

  • Red = 25 pts

  • Two yellows = 35 pts

Corners

  • Only corners taken count

  • Retakes count once

Time-Based Markets

  • Example: first 10 minutes (00:00–09:59), each half

Specials

  • Woodwork hits

  • Penalties (must be taken to count)


🏟️ Match Disruptions

  • Postponed → Void if not played within 48 hours

  • Abandoned → Settled if outcome is clear, otherwise void

  • VAR → Final decision always applies

  • Venue changes → May result in bets being voided
