What happens if a horse is withdrawn?

If your selection becomes a non-runner, your stake will usually be returned.

In certain markets, Rule 4 deductions may apply.


What is Rule 4?

Rule 4 is a deduction applied to winning bets when a horse is withdrawn from a race after bets have been placed.

The deduction amount depends on the withdrawn horse’s odds at the time of removal.


Why was my bet rejected?

Common reasons include:

  • Odds changed

  • Market suspended

  • Selection no longer available

  • Stake exceeds maximum limit

What happens if a race is abandoned?

If a race is officially abandoned, bets are voided and stakes returned.
