🏇 Horse Racing & Greyhound Betting Rules – FAQs

Here’s how betting works for horse racing and greyhound events on Midnite.

🎯 General Rules

What events are available?
Races from the UK & Ireland, plus selected international tracks.

How are bets settled?

  • Settled on the official result (weigh-in)

  • UK & Ireland → first past the post applies

  • International races → settled on the official result only

Can I cancel a bet?
No — once placed, bets can’t be cancelled.

⚠️ Pricing Errors

If an obvious error occurs (human or technical):

  • Bets may be voided, or

  • Settled at the correct industry price

If a market remains open after the result is known, all bets will be voided.

🚫 Non-Runners & Withdrawals

A non-runner is a horse that doesn’t start the race.

  • Singles → stake returned

  • Multiples → selection void (odds recalculated)

  • System bets → treated the same way

📅 Abandoned or Postponed Races

Bets are void if:

  • The race is abandoned

  • Entries change

  • Race conditions change (e.g. surface or venue)

  • 48-hour declarations don’t stand

If a race is rescheduled without changes, bets will stand.

🏆 Bet Types

Your selection must win.

Each-Way Bet
Two bets: win + place

  • Example: £5 each-way = £10 total

  • Win → both parts pay

  • Place → only the place part pays
